WHERE: Mahoney State Park, Interstate 80 Exit 426
Two February seminars offered by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Business Administration will help managers and supervisors focus on dealing with difficult people and on succeeding in today's global business environment.
The seminars are part of the Management Development Certificate Program from the college's Department of Management and offer training in a variety of areas critical to business today.
In these interactive seminars, the instructors bring cutting-edge theory to life and provide practical applications participants can put to work immediately. Topics and dates for the February seminars are:
* Dealing with Difficult People, Feb. 9 (register by Feb. 3). Conflicts and differences can be resolved without fireworks by using the techniques and tips from this interactive seminar.
* Succeeding in the Global Economy: Techniques for Your Company and Yourself, Feb. 23 (register by Feb. 17). Participants will learn how to discover resources, assess their position in the global economy, develop a customized strategy to confront globalization and to use protocol and personal diplomacy to tip the scales in their favor no matter where they do business.
All seminars are held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mahoney State Park, off Interstate 80 Exit 426.
Both seminars can count toward completion of a UNL Business Seminars Management Development Certificate. Information on the three levels of certificates offered is available by telephone and on the Web. Participation in the certificate program is not a requirement to attend the seminars.
