2005 Homecoming Week at UNL is Oct. 2-8

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's ASUN student government Homecoming Steering Committee set Nebraska's 2005 Homecoming Week events for Oct. 2-8. The week will end with Nebraska's football game vs. Texas Tech at Memorial Stadium.

"Increased student participation is one of our overall goals for the Homecoming 2005," said Rachel Balcer, director of the Homecoming Steering Committee. "Please e-mail your ideas for a theme to asun1@unl.edu. The Homecoming Steering Committee will choose the top four candidate themes and the student body will then vote online for its choice, using Blackboard."

Balcer said the student who enters the winning theme will receive a $100 prize.

"We are pleased to partner with ASUN and look forward to a great week of football and Homecoming festivities," said Athletic Director Steve Pederson. "Since 1911, we have had a fantastic tradition of great games on Homecoming and I'm sure this year will be no different as we host the Texas Tech Red Raiders."
