14 to Receive Military Commissions in May 7 Ceremony

Lincoln, Neb., May 4th, 2005 —

Fourteen University of Nebraska-Lincoln students who have participated in the Reserve Officer Training Corps at UNL are scheduled to receive commissions in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force or Marine Corps on May 7.

Following UNL commencement exercises, a joint commissioning ceremony involving the four service branches will be conducted beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St., where UNL Chancellor Harvey Perlman will address the new officers.

Following is a list of candidates by hometown, with their service branch and the rank at which they will be commissioned.

NEBRASKA

Auburn: Jeffrey Paul Fulton, Air Force, second lieutenant.

Bellevue: Jennifer Lee Bechel, Air Force, second lieutenant.

Bridgeport: Neal Joshua Carron, Air Force, second lieutenant.

Grand Island: William Matthew Knight, Navy, ensign.

Hastings: Kevin John Gaspers, Army, second lieutenant.

Offutt Air Force Base: Megan Ann McNabb, Air Force, second lieutenant.

Omaha: Yashica Jeanette Crumpton, Navy, ensign; Rachel Adriana Manske, Army, second lieutenant.

Seward: Aaron Michael Jirovsky, Marine Corps, second lieutenant.
