750 to Receive Degrees at Aug. 13 Commencement Exercises

Lincoln, Neb., August 12th, 2005 —

Approximately 750 students are scheduled to receive degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in commencement exercises beginning at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 13 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Chancellor Harvey Perlman will preside at the ceremonies. Barbara Couture, senior vice chancellor for academic affairs at UNL, will give the address. Ben Kuroki of Camarillo, Calif., will receive an honorary doctor of letters degree.

The graduates hail from 33 states, the District of Columbia and 38 countries.

A list of graduates can be found at the link below. Information includes the graduate's name, college, degree and any applicable honors (degree with distinction, high distinction, highest distinction). Some graduates will receive degrees in programs offered on the UNL campus by the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. They are designated by (UNMC) or (UNO).
