October is known for football games and Halloween, but it is also Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender History Month.
Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender History Month not only serves as a time to study gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender history, but also provides an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people to world history. This year, several UNL organizations have collaborated to sponsor an array of events for students and Lincoln's community members. The month's finale will be the third-annual GLBT History Month celebration dinner on Oct. 27. Tickets for the dinner will go on sale Oct. 3 at the Nebraska Union Information Desk.
