UNL homecoming royalty finalists selected

Lincoln, Neb., October 4th, 2005 —

Thirty undergraduate students have been selected as Homecoming royalty finalists at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Homecoming king and queen will be elected in a vote of the student body on Oct. 6 and crowned Oct. 8 at halftime of the Nebraska-Texas Tech football game in Memorial Stadium.

Voting for king and queen will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nebraska Union, Nebraska East Union and Campus Recreation Center.

Judging of lawn displays will be on Oct. 7.

Major sponsors of Homecoming are ASUN student government, Pepsi, University Bookstore and Midwest Ford.

The candidates for 2005 royalty are listed below by hometown.

NEBRASKA

Chapman: Nathan Robert Krug, exercise science, son of Norman and Sue Krug.

Columbus: Lyndsay Nicole Bonwell, management, daughter of Brett and Penny Bonwell; John Stewart Lohr, biochemistry and German, son of John F. and Kathleen Lohr.
