1,350 to Receive Degrees at Dec. 17 Commencement Exercises

Lincoln, Neb., December 16th, 2005 —

Approximately 1,350 students are scheduled to receive degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in commencement exercises beginning at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Chancellor Harvey Perlman will preside at the ceremonies. Sister Phyllis Hunhoff, O.S.B., former longtime director of Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, will give the address and receive an honorary doctor of humane letters degree.

The graduates are from 37 states, 37 countries and Puerto Rico.

A list of graduates follows. Information includes the graduate's name, college, degree and any applicable honors (degree with distinction, high distinction, highest distinction). Some graduates will receive degrees in programs offered on the UNL campus by the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. They are designated by UNMC or UNO in parentheses. UNO's honors terminology is cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude.
