Lincoln, Neb., March 27th, 2006 —

The annual University of Nebraska-Lincoln Research Fair will be April 4-6 in the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St.

The Research Fair features talks and presentations by representatives from federal agencies on research funding opportunities and priorities, events celebrating faculty achievements, displays of graduate and undergraduate student-conducted research and creative activity, and opportunities for undergraduate students to learn about graduate school.

This year's speakers include representatives from the U.S. departments of Defense and Energy, the National Science Foundation, the Fulbright Academy of Science and Technology, and other guest speakers. All sessions convene in the Nebraska Union and are free of charge. Registration is not required. Books written by UNL faculty in 2005 will be on display.

New to the 2006 Research Fair are luncheon meetings focusing on grants management and research compliance, presented by staff from the UNL Office of Sponsored Programs and the Office of Research Compliance Services. The luncheons are free, and faculty and staff can register to attend by going online to http://researchfair.unl.edu. The full schedule of events can also be found at that Web site.
