22 ROTC students to receive military commissions in May 6 ceremony

Lincoln, Neb., May 4th, 2006 —

Twenty-two University of Nebraska-Lincoln students who have participated in the Reserve Officer Training Corps at UNL are scheduled to receive commissions in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force or Marine Corps on May 6.

Following UNL commencement exercises, a joint commissioning ceremony involving the four service branches will be conducted beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St., where UNL Chancellor Harvey Perlman will address the new officers.

In addition, each service branch will have separate commissioning ceremony. The Air Force ceremony will be in the Nebraska Union auditorium at 5:30 p.m. May 5. Ceremonies for the other services will be in the Nebraska Union immediately following the May 6 joint ceremony.

Following is a list of candidates by hometown, with their service branch and the rank at which they will be commissioned.
