Lincoln, Neb., August 11th, 2006 — 800 to receive degrees at Aug. 12 commencement exercises

Approximately 800 students are scheduled to receive degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in commencement exercises beginning at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 12 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Chancellor Harvey Perlman will preside at the ceremonies. Lilian R. Furst, a noted scholar and teacher at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill will deliver the address and receive an honorary doctor of letters degree.

The graduates hail from 33 states and 46 countries.

A list of graduates can be found at the link below. Information includes the graduate's name, college, degree and any applicable honors (degree with distinction, high distinction, highest distinction). Some graduates will receive degrees in programs offered on the UNL campus by the University of Nebraska at Omaha. They are designated by UNO in parentheses.
