Management development seminars set in August, September

The rapidly changing business environment requires managers and supervisors to continuously update and enhance their knowledge and skills. Management Development Certificate Program seminars from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Management offer training in a variety of areas critical to business today.
In these interactive seminars, instructors bring cutting-edge theory to life and provide practical applications participants can put to work immediately. Topics, dates, and locations for the August and September seminars are:
* Using Coaching Skills for Leadership Development, Aug. 23, Omaha
* Employment Law, Aug. 30, Mahoney State Park (register by Aug. 24)
* Role of the Modern Manager: A New Positive Approach, Sept. 6, Omaha (register by Aug. 31)
* Role of the Modern Manager: Understanding, Predicting, and Controlling Human Behavior, Sept. 12, Omaha (register by Sept. Sept. 7)
* Effective Planning, Sept. 20, Lincoln (register by Sept. 14)
All seminars are held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. except "Employment Law," which is 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Omaha seminars are held at Gallup University, 1001 Gallup Drive; and Lincoln seminars are held at the Ferguson Center, 700 S. 16th St. Mahoney State Park is off Interstate 80 Exit 426.

Any of these seminars count toward completion of a UNL Business Seminars Management Development Certificate. Information on the three levels of certificates offered is available by telephone and on the Web site. Participation in the certificate program is not a requirement to attend the seminars.
