UNL to host engineering camp for girls Sept. 16

Lincoln, Neb., August 17th, 2006 —

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering and the student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers will host Women Interested in Engineering Day Sept. 16.

The event is for girls in grades 10-12 who are interested in math and science. Students and faculty will lead hands-on activities to introduce participants to various engineering disciplines. This year's feature speaker is Angel McMullen-Gunn, a 2003 UNL graduate who is a mechanical engineer for Hamilton Sundstrand in York.
