Lincoln, Neb., October 6th, 2006 —

The Nebraska Alumni Association has announced the reorganization of its senior management team and several promotions within the staff.

"With the departure of the associate executive director for membership and development, Kirk Cerny, who will become executive director of the Purdue University Alumni Association in November, it was the opportune time to restructure staff positions for even greater efficiency," said Ed Paquette, executive director of the alumni association.

Shelley Zaborowski, associate executive director for programs, has been promoted to senior associate executive director and secretary of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. She will stand in for Paquette, as necessary, while continuing to oversee program staff. Zaborowski is a 1996 and 2000 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to Paquette and Zaborowski, other members of the senior management team are Andrea Cranford, whose title has been changed from associate executive director for communications to chief communications officer, and Kersi Pajnigar, chief financial officer.

Andy Washburn, formerly director of advertising and corporate relations, has been promoted to director of membership and marketing. A 2000 graduate of the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications, he will assume Cerny's membership duties while continuing to manage advertising and corporate relations and chairing the staff membership marketing team.

Bob Stelter, director of the Alumni Career Network, recent grad relations and Champions Club member services, has assumed Cerny's development duties and has been promoted to director of development and Champions Club member services. He earned degrees from the College of Business Administration in 1990 and 1993. Stelter will hand career services activities to Chris Andersen, whose title becomes director of chapter relations and career services, and recent grad relations duties to Anna Pressler, 2005 UNL graduate, who has been promoted to director of student and recent grad programs.

The changes took effect Oct. 2.
