Three University of Nebraska-Lincoln students were awarded scholarships by the Advertising Federation of Lincoln and a fourth won the Ad Camper of the Year award.

Jennifer Boldra, a senior advertising major from Omaha, received the $1,000 Pam Holloway-Eiche Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was established as a tribute to Pam Holloway-Eiche, who founded the student Ad Club at UNL in 1977 and was instrumental in establishing other student ad clubs across the country.

James Sevcik, a junior advertising major from Prairie Village, Kan., received the $1,000 Joyce Ayres Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was established as a tribute to Warren Joyce Ayres, president and founder of Ayres & Associates in Lincoln. Morrel Wax, a sophomore marketing major from Omaha, received the $1,000 Cultural Diversity Scholarship. The scholarship was established to encourage minority students to continue their education in advertising and marketing, as well as encourage people from all nationalities to pursue a career in the advertising industry.

Nels Sorensen, a senior advertising major from Fairbury, won a new award, Ad Camper of the Year. This award was created to honor a student who has participated in Ad Camp and has worked with and for the Advertising Federation of Lincoln for the past year.
