1,300 to Receive Degrees at Dec. 16 Commencement Exercises

Lincoln, Neb., December 15th, 2006 —

Approximately 1,300 students are scheduled to receive degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in commencement exercises beginning at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 16 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Chancellor Harvey Perlman will preside at the ceremonies. U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., will give the address.

The graduates are from 38 states and 30 countries.

A list of graduates can be found at the link below. Information includes the graduate's name, college, degree and any applicable honors (degree with distinction, high distinction, highest distinction). Some graduates will receive degrees in programs offered on the UNL campus by the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. They are designated by UNMC or UNO in parentheses. UNO's honors terminology is cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude.
