UNL Phi Beta Kappa chapter initiates new members

Lincoln, Neb., December 15th, 2006 —

Eight students from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Arts and Sciences were initiated into membership in Phi Beta Kappa on Dec. 7.

Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest academic honor society, recognizing and encouraging a commitment to excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. The students are from the August and December graduating classes.

Following is a list by hometown of the new members with their majors and the names of their parents and spouses (if applicable).

NEBRASKA

Alliance: Sarah Diane Albright, English, daughter of Lyndall Miller and Diane Miller, wife of Nathan Albright.

Elm Creek: Andrew Glen Allen, geography, son of James and Nancy Allen.

Lincoln: Cynthia Anne Tedore, biological sciences and psychology, daughter of James and Penelope Larsen, wife of Kevin Tedore.

Omaha: Craig M. Johnson, biological sciences and psychology, son of Martin and Connie Johnson; Kathryn Pennington, French and international studies, daughter of Paul and Regina Pennington.

Valentine: Rachel Keenan, psychology, daughter of Michael and Donna Keenan.

ELSEWHERE

Penang, Malaysia: G. Wei Ng, psychology, daughter of Koi Son Ng and Suan Sim Kang.

Watertown, S.D.: DeAnn Allison Cudly, English, daughter of JoAnn Roti-Munson and the late DeWayne Roti, wife of Bruce Cudly.
