New Student Alumni Association board members announced

The Student Alumni Association, sponsored by the Nebraska Alumni Association, has appointed 16 new members to its board of directors for 2007.

The SAA board plans and coordinates events and programs for the 1,900-member student group at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and serves as a volunteer corps for Nebraska Alumni Association activities such as Home Husker Huddles, the RED Gala and the Breakfast for Champions.

Nebraska Alumni Association programs are developed in support of UNL and funded by member dues and corporate partnerships. The Nebraska Alumni Association is an independent organization that receives no state or tuition dollars.

New board members for 2007 by hometown are:

NEBRASKA

Columbus: Sarah Haskell, sophomore.

Imperial: Dillon Harchelroad, sophomore.

Lincoln: Melinda Bakenhus, freshman; Angela Finn, freshman; Carlos Lopez, sophomore; Daniel Van Nguyen, freshman.

Malmo: Alison TePoel, sophomore.

Neligh: Chad Hall, sophomore.

Ogallala: Jacqelle Lane, sophomore.

Omaha: Rishi Batra, sophomore; Megan Carmean, junior; Stefanie Graff, sophomore.

Shelby: Molly Kamrath, sophomore.

ELSEWHERE

Aiea, Hawaii: Reid Nakamura, freshman

Bird City, Kan.: Kori Underwood, freshman.

Kansas City, Mo.: Kelli Shannon, junior.
