Students elected to UNL student government

Lincoln, Neb., May 18th, 2007 —

University of Nebraska-Lincoln students were elected to one-year terms in the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska student government in student-body elections in March.

ASUN includes three executives (president, and first and second vice presidents), the 35-member Senate, whose members are elected by college, the Committee for Fees Allocation, the Student Court, the Appointment Board, and other committees.

David Solheim of Norfolk is the new president of ASUN and will serve one year as member of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents. External vice president is Laine Norton of Lincoln; Greg Gifford of Harrisburg is speaker of the senate, and Abby Fitzgerald of Louisville is appointments secretary. Inauguration of the new officers and representatives took place March 21 at Wick Alumni Center, and the students will continue in the fall in their elected offices.

NEBRASKA
