Cather Circle announces new collegiate, alumna members

The Nebraska Alumni Association's Cather Circle, a mentoring network for alumnae and women students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, has added 38 collegians and 22 alumnae to its ranks.

The group was formed in 1999 to connect outstanding alumnae and friends with women students who possess exceptional leadership potential. Since its inception, more than 225 alumnae and 400 collegians have participated in Cather Circle. The organization is named after Pulitzer Prize-winning author Willa Cather (1873-1947), an 1895 graduate of the University of Nebraska.

Cather Circle held its fall meeting in Lincoln, Sept. 13-14, with "Connections" as the theme. Anne Baber, co-founder of Contacts Count, an international training and consulting firm that specializes in teaching networking as a professional and business skill, was the keynote speaker.
