McCutcheon is Midwest Association for Public Opinion Research fellow

The Midwest Association for Public Opinion Research announced at its annual meeting on Nov. 16 the selection of Allan McCutcheon of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as its newest fellow, the association's highest honor. McCutcheon is the Donald O. Clifton chair of survey science and professor of statistics and survey research and methodology at UNL.

Association president David Tewksbury of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign noted the association's appreciation of McCutcheon's contributions to the survey research discipline and to the association. McCutcheon is an internationally known author of academic books, articles and chapters and has also been a tireless supporter of education in survey research.

The UNL Survey Research and Methodology graduate program, created by McCutcheon, has been a leader in the training and development of researchers adept in theory and methodology.
