UNL Phi Beta Kappa chapter initiates new members

Thirteen University of Nebraska-Lincoln students were initiated Dec. 12 into membership in Phi Beta Kappa.
Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest academic honor society, recognizing and encouraging a commitment to excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. The students who received Phi Beta Kappa keys are from the August and December graduating classes.
Following is a list by hometown of the new members with their majors and the names of their parents and spouse (if applicable).
NEBRASKA
Columbus: Ashley Jean Pritchard, advertising and Spanish, daughter of Steve Pritchard of Albion and Karla Bartlett of Columbus.
Funk: Beth Spencer, environmental studies, daughter of Roger and Anita Spencer.
Homer: Melissa Jenkins, psychology, daughter of David Jenkins and Ann Jenkins, wife of Daryl LaPointe.
Lincoln: Noushan Noureddini, political science, history and international studies, daughter of Hossein and Soheila Noureddini; Ali Jane Steckelberg, biochemistry, daughter of Allen and Nancy Steckelberg.
Omaha: Taylor Kohl, history, son of John Kohl and Melody Kohl.
Raymond: Diane Suzanne Temme, German, daughter of Roland and Hiroko Temme.

Ashdod, Israel: Galina Moldavsky, English, daughter of Yuri and Elizabeta Moldavsky.
East Grand Forks, Minn.: Laura Thomas, international studies, daughter of Steve and Jackie Thomas.

Okayama-ken, Japan: Ryo Namba, physics and mathematics, son of Reiko Namba.
