Gering's Heather McKee wins scholarship at NU Law College

The University of Nebraska College of Law has announced that Heather McKee of Gering is the 2007 recipient of the $1,500 Philip Johnson-Great Plains Federal Tax Institute Scholarship.

McKee is a third-year student at the college. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Wyoming and her master's in business administration at Colorado State University.

The Philip Johnson-Great Plains Federal Tax Institute Scholarship was established by the Great Plains Federal Tax Institute in memory of Philip G. Johnson, a lawyer and CPA and co-founder of the institute. It is awarded annually to a College of Law student who has excelled in tax courses and has a strong interest in a career in tax law.
