Rae Moore of Lincoln, a sophomore advertising major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will get a jumpstart on a career in advertising as a winner in the Multicultural Agency Internship Program competition. The American Association of Advertising Agencies, a national trade association representing the advertising agency business, administers the program, which includes a rigorous selection process of applicants from across the United States. The goal of the program is to increase the representation of people of color in the advertising profession.

Moore will spend her 10-week paid summer internship at Hill|Holiday, a full-service communications advertising agency in Boston. She will have consistent mentoring for success in her advertising career by some of the top professionals in the business during and after her internship.

"It's an honor to be selected from Nebraska to participate in this unique program," said Moore, who is the second UNL advertising student to win the internship in as many years. "I feel very blessed and am looking forward to the opportunities and experiences this internship presents to those of us involved."

Moore is vice president of the UNL chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, a professional association for design. She is an active member in the student Ad Club, a campus affiliate of the American Advertising Federation. She is creative director of Nspired Communications, a classroom-based ad agency working with the U.S. Navy as part of a national competition.
