Nebraska 8th-graders selected for Breakfast for Champions

More than 300 eighth-grade student leaders from across Nebraska are invited to the 10th annual Breakfast for Champions May 16 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Sponsored by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Office of Admissions and EducationQuest, the event honors eighth graders for their academic, leadership and civic activities. The keynote speaker is Tom Osborne, UNL director of intercollegiate athletics, and the event features Gov. Dave Heineman and past and present Husker athletes.
Each eighth-grade student leader, nominated by their school's administrators, will receive a Gold Medal of Achievement and a certificate at the breakfast. A list of the participants for the 2008 Breakfast for Champions, their parents and schools can be found at the link below.
