Lincoln, Neb., July 1st, 2008 —

Sixty-four University of Nebraska-Lincoln students are scheduled to participate in the 20th annual Nebraska at Oxford Program July 20 through Aug. 16 at England's University of Oxford, the oldest university in the English-speaking world.

Sponsored by the UNL College of Business Administration, the program is open to students of all academic majors, including graduate students and undergraduate students with at least sophomore standing. The Nebraska at Oxford Program is based at Oxford's Jesus College.

During the four-week program, students can take two lecture-tutorial courses on British political and international economic policy, "Political Economy of Britain Since 1945" and "International Economics and Business," for six hours of UNL academic credit. Non-business students can enroll in "Theatre, Arts and Literature of Great Britain," instead of "International Economics and Business." Lecturers and tutors for the courses are faculty and staff from Jesus College. Field trips and cultural excursions will supplement the course lectures and tutorials.
