UNL grants some 735 degrees at Aug. 15-16 commencement exercises

Approximately 735 students will receive degrees at University of Nebraska-Lincoln commencement exercises Aug. 15 and 16.
Chancellor Harvey Perlman will preside at the ceremonies, one for doctoral degree recipients Aug. 15 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts and the main commencement exercises for all other degrees Aug. 16 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
UNL historian Thomas "Tim" Borstelmann will address graduates at the Aug. 16 ceremony, with a talk titled "Reading the Signs of the Times." Miles T. Bryant, professor of educational administration at UNL, will give the address, titled "A Hooding Speech," at the doctoral ceremony.
The graduates are from 37 states, Puerto Rico and 31 countries.
A list of graduates can be found at the link below. The list includes students who will receive degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha or the University of Nebraska Medical Center in UNO or UNMC programs offered on the UNL campus. Information includes the graduate's name, college, degree and any applicable honors. Honors include degrees with distinction, high distinction or highest distinction (cum laude, magna cum laude or summa cum laude for UNO degrees), University Honors Program and J.D. Edwards Honors Program.
