Lopez, Madsen crowned Homecoming king, queen at UNL

Carlos Lopez of Lincoln and Katie Madsen of Stuart were crowned king and queen of Homecoming at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln at halftime of tonight's Nebraska-Missouri football game at Memorial Stadium.
Lopez is a psychology, computer science and pre-law major with a minor in mathematics. He is the son of Carlos and Paula Lopez and is president of the Student Alumni Association.
Madsen is a business administration/pre-law major with minors in communication studies and political science. The daughter of John and Pat Madsen, she is external vice president of the UNL student government, the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska.
Lopez and Madsen were elected king and queen from a field of 20 finalists in an Oct. 1 student-body election.
