Approximately 1,600 students are scheduled to receive degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in commencement exercises Dec. 19 and 20 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
For the first time, UNL will conduct separate commencement exercises for postgraduate (Dec. 19) and baccalaureate (Dec. 20) degrees. Because of increased enrollment and continuing student participation in commencement exercises, the Devaney Center no longer has the capacity to hold one commencement exercise accommodating all students.
Chancellor Harvey Perlman will preside over both ceremonies. John E. Anderson, associate dean of the College of Business Administration and Baird family professor of economics at UNL, will address the graduate exercises. U.S. Sen.-elect Mike Johanns will deliver the address at the undergraduate ceremony.
The graduates are from 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and 36 countries.
A list of graduates can be found at the link below. The list includes students who will receive degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha or the University of Nebraska Medical Center in UNO or UNMC programs offered on the UNL campus. Information includes the graduate's name, college, degree and any applicable honors. Honors include degrees with distinction, high distinction or highest distinction (cum laude, magna cum laude or summa cum laude for UNO degrees), and University Honors Program.
