In the midst of the holiday season, Mueller Planetarium at the University of Nebraska State Museum will add Dec. 30 shows to its schedule.
The planetarium's normal show schedule is for presentations on Saturdays and Sundays this time of year, but planetarium coordinator Jack Dunn said: "We felt we might make some shows available on a weekday between Christmas and the New Year for all the visitors in town for the holidays."
The schedule Dec. 30 will be "Little Star" at 2 p.m. and "Black Holes" at 3 p.m. "The Little Star That Could" is a show for younger audiences and "Black Holes" is an all-ages show. The two shows will continue to run at 2 and 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Mueller Planetarium is in the University of Nebraska State Museum (Morrill Hall), 14th and U streets on the UNL City Campus. Tickets to planetarium shows include admission to the museum. Prices are $8 for adults, $5.50 for children age 5-18, and $2.50 for children 4 and younger. For members of the Friends of NU State Museum with membership cards, tickets are $2.50 for adults and $2 for children. Tickets for UNL faculty, staff and students and immediate family are $3 (with valid UNL ID). Tickets are sold at the museum front desk the day of the show.
