The Nebraska Law Review at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law will launch a new Web site and integrated online journal, the Nebraska Law Review Bulletin, Feb. 1. The Bulletin will be available to practitioners, scholars and the public at http://lawreview.unl.edu.
The Nebraska Law Review is a student-edited print journal that publishes articles authored by professors, judges, student members and others in the legal profession in four quarterly issues. The Review strives to publish timely, interesting and informative articles for practitioners and scholars on both local and national levels. General information about the Review, including subscriptions, is available on the Web site.
In contrast to the Review, the Bulletin focuses solely on Nebraska and 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals law and is published exclusively online. In 2008, the executive board of editors of the Review acknowledged that there was a void of scholarly journals that discussed, criticized and stated Nebraska and 8th Circuit law and decided to establish the Bulletin to fill this void. The Bulletin will publish short, scholarly commentaries covering significant legal issues in Nebraska and the 8th Circuit, which includes Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. The online format of the Bulletin allows for timely publication of commentaries. The Bulletin also offers its readers a forum where they can provide their own thoughts and perspectives regarding published commentaries. It also publishes short scholarly commentaries responding to articles and notes recently published in the Review.
