Lincoln, Neb., February 10th, 2009 —

Ronald Hill, editor of the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, has named Les Carlson of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln an associate editor of the journal. Carlson holds the Nathan J. Gold distinguished professorship in marketing at UNL. His research interests include effects of advertising on consumers and consumer behavior.

"Les Carlson's stellar career in the marketing field and interest in developing the work of young scholars will be an asset to our team," Hill said.

Addressing the dynamic relationship between marketing and the public interest, the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing is a source for understanding today's most important issues. Each issue features a wide-ranging forum for the research, findings and discussion of marketing subjects related to business and government, including issues on nutrition and health, ethics and social responsibility, antitrust, privacy, and copyright and trademarks, as well as policy implications from the Federal Trade Commission and Food and Drug Administration.

The journal is an academic journal publishing the findings, research, and discussion of marketing subjects that relate to both industry and government. It is a semi annual publication of the American Marketing Association.
