UNL student government elections bring new leadership

Lincoln, Neb., May 29th, 2009 —

University of Nebraska-Lincoln students elected a new slate of officers and representatives this spring for the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska. The students will represent their colleges or provide leadership for student government through April 2010.

The new student body president and representative to the University of Nebraska Board of Regents is Megan Collins of Omaha. Internal vice president is Brian Coburn of Spearfish, S.D., and external vice president is Amanda Crook of Nebraska City. Speaker of the senate is Jared Tidemann of Brookings, S.D., and appointments secretary is Lauren Garcia of College Station, Texas. There were 32 senators elected to represent the colleges and the Division of General Studies.

NEBRASKA
