Twenty senior students have been selected as Homecoming royalty finalists at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Homecoming king and queen will be elected in the vote of the student body Sept. 24 and crowned Sept. 26 at halftime of the Nebraska-Louisiana Lafayette football game at Memorial Stadium. Voting for king and queen will be conducted 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Nebraska Union, Nebraska East Union and Campus Recreation Center, as well as on the Internet.

This year's homecoming culminates with events at the Sept. 26 Husker football game the long-anticipated, history-setting 300th consecutive football home game sellout. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. On Friday, Sept. 25, a variety of events are planned including the traditional "lawn displays" on housing unit lawns around campus; the Nebraska Alumni Association plans a Football Friday homecoming event at Wick Alumni Center featuring Husker football standouts from years past, and the Lied Center for Performing Arts will host free concerts and cake in celebration of the Lied's 20th anniversary.
