34th annual Modern Language Fair April 15 at UNL

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will host its 34th annual language fair 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 15 in the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St. ,map].
The fair provides an opportunity for high school students from across the state studying Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian and Spanish to demonstrate their acquisition of language and culture in various competitive events. Events are judged by the faculty and graduate students of the UNL Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. In addition, mini-lessons are offered throughout the day by departmental personnel in a variety of languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Japanese, Russian and Swahili. Approximately 800 high school students and teachers will attend.
