WHERE: 14th, 16th and 17th Streets, and Vine Street, UNL City Campus

Lincoln, Neb., April 29th, 2010 —

Finals Week at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is May 3-7, and during this time, the university will see approximately 5,000 residence hall students, their parents and extra vehicles moving students out of the residence halls. Much of that movement will be concentrated into Thursday and Friday, based on large lecture-class final exam schedules.

Motorists should watch for barricades, closed traffic lanes and parking cadets providing traffic control around the residence halls, including 14th Street west of the Harper/Schramm/Smith/Village complex, Vine Street, and 16th and 17th streets between R and Vine street.

Please plan for extra travel time since these areas will be extremely congested. If possible, consider alternate parking and/or travel routes to avoid the areas adjacent to the City Campus residence halls.
