2010 UNL student government elections bring new leadership

Lincoln, Neb., May 14th, 2010 —

University of Nebraska-Lincoln students elected a new slate of officers and representatives this spring for the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska, the student government body. The students will represent their colleges or provide leadership for student government through April.

The new student president and representative to the University of Nebraska Board of Regents is Justin Solomon of Omaha. Internal vice president is Drew Schulz of Louisville, Ky., and external vice president is Jamie Dick of York. Speaker of the senate is Jared Widseth of Omaha, and appointments secretary is Sarah Williams of Omaha. Thirty-one senators were elected to represent the colleges and the Division of General Studies.
