Batavia's Sanders wins undergrad math award at UNL

Lincoln, Neb., May 21st, 2010 —
William "Billy" Sanders of Batavia, Ill., was awarded the Chair's Prize Award by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Mathematics this spring.
The award recognizes an outstanding mathematics undergraduate student and was created to honor Jim Lewis, Aaron Douglas professor of mathematics, for his service as chair of the former Department of Mathematics and Statistics from 1988 to 2003.
Sanders graduated with high distinction May 8 with a bachelor of science degree.
