Lincoln, Neb., May 6th, 2011 —
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln will grant degrees to approximately 2,800 students at commencement exercises May 6 and 7 in separate ceremonies for baccalaureate, graduate and law degrees
The graduates are from 47 states, Puerto Rico and 43 countries.
Patrick Dussault, Charles Bessey professor and professor of chemistry, will address the May 6 postgraduate ceremony. Zheng Nanning, president of Xi'an Jiaotong University in China, will address the baccalaureate ceremony and receive an honorary doctor of science on May 7. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will address the law graduates, also on May 7.
