10 UNL students inducted into Phi Beta Kappa

Lincoln, Neb., December 21st, 2011 —

            Ten University of Nebraska-Lincoln students were initiated into membership in Phi Beta Kappa this month.

            Phi Beta Kappa is the nation’s oldest academic honor society, recognizing and encouraging a commitment to excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. Following is a list of the students who were inducted, including their academic major(s) and their parents' and spouses' names. All were in the Dec. 17 graduating class, unless otherwise noted.

NEBRASKA

            Lincoln: Alexander Scott Lawson, chemistry, Scott and Stephanie Lawson; Cara Morgenson, English and psychology (Aug. 13), Jon and Carol Morgenson.

            Omaha: Luci Bowyer, English and history, Kevin and Paula Bowyer; Blair Euteneuer, news-editorial and English (Aug. 13), Tim Euteneuer of Omaha and Holly Batchelder of Bennington.

            Scottsbluff: Roxanne Haslam, biological sciences and economics, J. Matthew and Darcy Haslam.
