Mueller Planetarium announces fulldome schedule for Feb. 9-April 26

WHERE: Mueller Planetarium, Morrill Hall, south of 14th and Vine Streets

Lincoln, Neb., January 30th, 2012 —

            Mueller Planetarium in the University of Nebraska State Museum's Morrill Hall has announced its fulldome schedule for Feb. 9 through April 26:

  • "Light Years from Andromeda" -- Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.
  • "Forces of Nature" -- Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m; Thursdays at 7 p.m.

            A new National Geographic fulldome show, "Forces of Nature" showcases the science behind natural disasters like volcanoes, earthquakes and tornadoes (40 minutes running time).

            "Light Years from Andromeda" is a story of cosmic distances and humanity's quest to understand the universe (40 minutes).

            The University of Nebraska State Museum (Morrill Hall) and Mueller Planetarium are south of 14th and Vine streets on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln City Campus. Parking is free. Planetarium tickets include museum admission and can be purchased at the museum's front desk the day of the show. Admission is $8 for adults, $5.50 for children, and $3 for UNL staff, faculty and students with valid NU ID. For more information on the museum, visit www.museum.unl.edu.
