Fashion's Night Out presented Sept. 6 at Nebraska Union

Fashion's Night Out, locally presented by University Program Council at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room, 14th and R streets.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature runway shows live-streamed from New York Fashion Week, as well as local boutiques exhibiting their collections and offering fashion tips and advice to attendees.
Local retailers participating include: Duo Shoes, the Black Market, Blu Velvet, Embellish, Penny Lane Trading Co., Sassafrass, Sunny's Boutique and Tsuru.
Fashion’s Night Out is a global initiative created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the fashion industry's economy during the recession, and put fun back in shopping. In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Co. and the City of New York.
The University Program Council is a student organization that provides diverse, educational and entertaining programs and events to enhance the UNL community.
