Festival of African Culture is March 30 at Nebraska Union

The African Student Association at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will present "FESTAC (Festival of African Culture) 2013: The Rhythm of Africa" on March 30 at the Nebraska Union, 14th and R streets.
The festival will be from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Centennial Ballroom and will feature music with Amna Millewa, poetry with Rayan Omer, and speaker Dalitso Ruwe of MajeOfficial, a service that offers African movies and original television series. The evening will also offer traditional dances with African cultural connections, authentic African cuisine and a fashion show.
Doors open at 5:30. Admission is $15 per person or $100 for a table of eight. Tickets are on sale in the booths near the Nebraska Union food court from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 13-15 and 25-29, at the door, or from any member of the African Student Association.
