International music sensation Celtic Woman has added the Lied Center for Performing Arts to its 80-city concert tour celebrating the group's 10th anniversary in 2015.

Tickets to Celtic Woman's Lied Center performance at 3 p.m. June 14 can be purchased at http://www.liedcenter.org, at the Lied Center Box Office, 301 N. 12th St., or by calling 402-472-4747.

It was a decade ago that Celtic Woman first traveled from Ireland to America to introduce millions of new fans to the group's fresh fusion of Irish musical tradition, contemporary songcraft and state-of-the-art stage production. The group made its debut on televsion in 2005 with a sold-out performance at The Helix in Dublin, which was filmed and broadcast in the United States on PBS. Although initially intended as a one-time-only event, the concert was so warmly received by the public that the group continued to perform and record.

The 10th anniversary celebration showcases four gifted Irish women -- three world-class vocalists and a brilliant Celtic violinist -- whose talent and charisma bring centuries of musical and cultural tradition to vibrant life. The 15-member ensemble includes a full band, bagpipers, Irish dancers and the Aontas Choir, all under the direction of Emmy-nominated music producer David Downes. These anniversary performances will honor Celtic Woman's musical history while looking to the future, with elaborate new set designs, glamorous new dresses and breathtaking choreography. The shows will feature a selection of fan favorites, encompassing Irish classics, contemporary standards and classical favorites alongside memorable original compositions, bridging the past and present with the distinctive grace and style for which Celtic Woman has become known.

In addition to its success in America, Celtic Woman has achieved platinum-level sales in eight other countries. The group has sold more than 8 million copies of its nine CDs and eight DVDs, making it the only all-female act to achieve multi-platinum success in the classical crossover and world music genres during the past decade.  In the United States, each of Celtic Woman's nine CDs -- the most recent being 2013's "Emerald Musical Gems" -- debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's World Album chart, where the group has occupied the top slot for a record-breaking 112 consecutive weeks.

This is a rental event. For hosted rental events, the Lied Center has limited control over ticket prices/discounts, cancellation and refund policy, event related activities, content, recording/reproduction, etc.
