George Balanchine's legendary muse, Suzanne Farrell, brings her ballet company from the Kennedy Center to Nebraska for the first time on Feb. 14 for a 7:30 p.m. performance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Lied Center for Performing Arts.

A performance of Balanchine's "Swan Lake" headlines the evening. This enchanting one-act story is performed to the original Tchaikovsky score. The program also includes Balanchine's "Allegro Brillante" and "Agon."

Tickets, starting at $36, are available at http://www.liedcenter.org, the Lied Center Box Office, 301 N. 12th St., or 402-472-4747. UNL students can obtain tickets at a 50 percent discount with a valid NCard.

The Suzanne Farrell Ballet is the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' ballet company in Washington, D.C. Combining Farrell's vast artistic strengths and teaching gifts with her deep, inimitable insight into the Balanchine canon, the Farrell Ballet carries forth "Mr. B's" enduring legacy -- sharing his profound vision and influential works with world audiences via company tours, artistic partnerships, and educational residencies.
