The 2014 Tony Award winner for best musical, "A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder," will launch its first national tour in September, including a six-show run at the Lied Center for Performing Arts from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1.

The tour route includes stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and Toronto. The Lied Center will announce its full 2015-16 season May 12. Season ticket order forms can be submitted by mail or in person beginning at 11 a.m. that day. Single tickets will go on sale in August.

Part of the Lied Center's Glenn Korff Broadway Series, "Gentleman's Guide" tells the story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession, by any means necessary. All the while, he's got to juggle his mistress, his fiancée and the constant threat of landing behind bars. Of course, it will all be worth it if he can slay his way to his inheritance … and be done in time for tea.

"The Glenn Korff Broadway Endowment has enabled the Lied Center to secure some of the biggest titles in Broadway for our 26th season,” said Bill Stephan, executive director of the Lied. "We are so proud to be among the first in the world to present the first national tour of Broadway's hottest new show."

"Gentleman’s Guide" officially opened at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre to critical acclaim on Nov. 17, 2013, following runs at The Hartford Stage and San Diego's Old Globe Theatre. It went on to become the most nominated and honored production of the 2013-14 Broadway season, winning the Tony, Drama Desk, DramaLeague and Outer Critics Circle awards for best musical. "Gentleman's Guide" also won Tony Awards for best direction of a musical (Darko Tresnjak), best book of a musical (Robert L. Freedman) and best costume design of a musical (Linda Cho).
