ASUN Elections Today
For the first time, ASUN elections will take place entirely online. Students will be able to access voting through their WAM accounts and the polls will be open from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Extra computers will be set up in the Nebraska Union, the Nebraska East Union, and campus recreation centers, which will be staffed by election workers.

LaDuke To Give Keynote Address
Activist, environmentalist, economist and author Winona LaDuke will visit the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as part of the College of Journalism and Mass Communication’s 2009 "Native Daughters" depth reporting class. During her visit, LaDuke will be the keynote speaker for the morning session of the Conference on Women and Leadership hosted by the UNL Women's Center. Her talk will take place at 9 a.m. in the Centennial Room of the Nebraska Union

Afghanistan Expert Chayes is E.N. Thompson Forum Speaker
Sarah Chayes, a former National Public Radio reporter, will give the next E. N. Thompson Forum lecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her talk, "Notes from Afghanistan," will be at 7 p.m. today at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, 301 N. 12th St.
Chayes has lived and worked in Kandahar, Afghanistan, since 2001, when she covered the fall of the Taliban for NPR. In 2002, she left journalism to help rebuild the shattered country whose fate will help determine the shape of the 21st century, working first with Afghans for Civil Society, and currently with Arghand, a cooperative producing skin-care products from local fruits, nuts and botanicals. The Washington Post described her book, "The Punishment of Virtue: Inside Afghanistan After the Taliban," as "sharply observed, fearlessly told." more...

University Theatre Presents The Good Doctor
University Theatre continues its 2008-2009 season at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with Neil Simon's comedy The Good Doctor. The production, directed by Carson School Assistant Professor of Practice Ian Borden, will have performances March 4, 5, 6, 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre, first floor of the Temple Building at 12th and R Streets.
Tickets are $16, $14 faculty/staff and senior citizens, and $10 students with ID. Tickets are available from the Lied Center Ticket Office, 301 N. 12 Monday through Friday 11 AM to 5:30 PM and one hour prior to the performance in the Temple Theatres Lobby, or by telephone at 472-4747 or 800-432-3231.
