Tony-Winning 'Avenue Q' Makes Lincoln Debut Dec. 4 at Lied Center

"Avenue Q," the smash-hit Broadway musical about life in New York City as told by a cast of people and puppets through an irreverent, Tony-winning book and score, makes its Lincoln debut at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Created in a New York workshop in 1998 by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, "Avenue Q" uses puppets reminiscent of sunny children's television programs to lend irony and humor to their gritty themes of grown-up life. Due to adult themes and full-puppet nudity, "Avenue Q" may not be suitable for children. more...
