Final Weekend of Hall Exhibit at Great Plains Art Museum
Artist-in-Residence Wendy Hall's exhibit will continue through June 6 at the Great Plains Art Museum. During her residency, Hall created two paintings: one still life and one bucolic scene from her farm. The commissioned works will become part of the museum's permanent collection.
The exhibition, "Pastoral Paintings: Landscapes and Still Lifes by Wendy Hall," features landscapes that focus mainly on field and pastoral scenes of Nebraska, while Hall's still lifes contain primitive items accompanied by fruits and wildflowers found around the farm where she lives near Ashland. She attended the State University of New York at New Paltz and has worked as an art director, layout artist and pre-press worker in the Omaha-Lincoln area. She paints full time, is a member of the American Plains Artists and is represented by Anderson O'Brien Fine Art in Omaha.
