'Go Green for Big Red,' Volunteers Sought For Recycling for Husker Games
For the second year, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Landscape Services will partner with Recycling Enterprises to encourage recycling on Husker football game days. The effort will focus on parking lots and walkways on property around Memorial Stadium -- and you can help.
UNL is seeking volunteers to help walk parking lots offering green recycling bags for fans to recycle plastics and aluminum. The fans then leave the bags for volunteers to pick up after the game begins. Recycling bins will also be located next to waste containers along high-traffic pedestrian walkways leading to Memorial Stadium. To arrange to volunteer and find out where to meet to get supplies and instructions, contact the recycling coordinator at (402) 472-9139 or by e-mail.
