Voting to Improve Rec Centers Begins Today
UNL students will begin online voting Oct. 26 for a referendum that calls for the construction of a new East Campus rec center and expansion of rec facilities on City Campus.
Votes will be accepted from 8 a.m., Oct. 26 to 8 p.m., Oct. 27. Student voters must log into MyRed and click "online voting." The referendum is sponsored by the ASUN Wellness Ad Hoc Committee. more...

Red Zone Tickets on sale for Husker Men's Basketball Games

Red Zone tickets for the final Big 12 men's basketball season can now be purchased. Student season package is $39 and includes the official Red Zone t-shirt and tickets to 17 regular season home games - highlighted by games against Creighton, Kansas and Texas.

'Physics Week' Celebration Kicks Off Oct. 26

Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in a week of physics-themed events when the Department of Physics and Astronomy celebrates the dedication of Jorgensen Hall. The week-long celebration culminates in the official dedication ceremony of the new building at 4 p.m., Oct. 29.
"Physics Week" kicks off with "Comic Book Physics 101," hosted by department chair Dan Claes at 7 p.m., Oct. 26 in Jorgensen Hall room 136. Claes will explore physics topics inspired by comic book characters, their superpowers and significant events in their history. more...

Piano great Vladimir Feltsman comes to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Lied Center for Performing Arts Oct. 26 for a special one-night engagement.
In a season where Feltsman will be performing with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Nebraska music lovers will be thrilled by his program including Mozart's Fantasia in D minor, K. 397, Schubert's Four Impromptus, Op. 90, and Chopin's Four Ballades.
